Artist Talk with Pandy Aviado and Joey Cobcobo on March 13

The last in the Artist Talk series, printmakers Pandy Aviado and Joey Cobcobo will join us at the Lopez Museum and Library on March 13, Friday, from 2 to 4pm.

Pandy Aviado, a multi-awarded and respected printmaker, will talk about how graphic arts is used as a platform for social commentary. Joey Cobcobo, one of the guest artists in Propaganda, the museum’s current exhibition, will relate how his community in Mandaluyong City inspired the creation of his installation Tahanang Walang Hagdan. He approached three residents in his neighborhood, learned about their life and involved them in the making of the work. Together, the two artists will give us insight into their respective art practices as printmakers.

Registration fee for the lecture is Php 135.00 (students Php 115.00) and includes admission and a guided tour of the exhibitions. Gourmet Farms Inc. will also serve freshly brewed coffee and snacks during the lecture.

The Lopez Memorial Museum is at the ground floor, Benpres Building Exchange Road corner Meralco Avenue, Pasig City. Museum days and hours are Mondays-Saturdays, 8am-5pm, except holidays. For information and registration, call Tina or Kinna at 631-2417 or email lmmpasig@gmail.com.
